Up for auction is this vintage XX Case 4 blade folding knife. This is a large Congress # 6488 LP,this knife measures about 4 1/8'' closed.This knife is used,but fairly gently. The gentleman that I purchased this knife from was the original owner. No dots on this case,I believe this knife should be from around the 50 or early 60's,could be wrong,my friend said he thought it might be older. Well any way it sure is tight,the blades snap very briskly,& I cannot see any damage of any kind to the redbone handles.I believe this knife does have light use,but in overall good condition. I recently found out that this wonderful case knife from the years between 1940-64 is correct,however it is not a LP/long pull knife.This knife has what is called standard nail pull,instead of the nail pull on the blades having a long cut that covers the largest portion of the blade.. Sorry for any incorrectness on this description,however I was also told ,by several very active Case traders & dealers,that this knife is still highly collectible.Thanks Jonathan 9394.
