Up for your consideration is this Antique Lot of Childrens Toys including Phone, Wooden Blocks & Tin Dustpan.
All items came from my neighbors estate sale. She was a collector of many items and I found these to be interesting because of the way toys use to be made with simple wood and metal instead of the plastics we have today.
The first item is an old toy phone that is almost 8" tall with a tin mouth piece and base and wood ear piece and stem. It is all original paint but has rust on the metal. All the components still work. The dial moves as does the mouthpiece and the bell still rings when you turn the dial. Over all it is in very good condition for its age.
The second item is an old tin childs dustpan. It has a scene of three small children playing with two dogs and a toy wagon. It is marked made in the USA. It has its original paint with a little bit missing from the left hand corner. It too is in very good condition with no cracks, bends or other blemishes not already mentioned.
The last item is a complete set of very old two sided antique childrens wooden alphabet blocks. Some of the pictures and words are so unique to their time for example they show: K is for KNIFE and with a picture of a pocket knife, A is for ASS and has a picture of a donkey, Z is for ZANY and has a picture of a jester, V is for VOLUNTEER and has a picture of a civil war soldier......... There is wear to them but every picture and letter is still visable. If anything I have found these blocks to be an interesting conversation piece.
