There are two ground floor bedrooms plus an office/den/sleeping loft, and 2 baths. The community of private two-family residences is quiet and securely gated; all homes are thoughtfully situated, with expansive and unobstructed golf course views. Our home has an oversized grassy yard, with beautiful tropical shrubbery, flowers and trees. This fully carpeted home is furnished with very high quality furniture and appointments, and its atmosphere and details are those of a home, and not of a rental unit. We live here a good share of the time, so it is immaculately kept, and when we share it with a renter, we leave everything in place: the condiments, the food staples, the flashlights, the shampoo, the extra light bulbs, the laundry detergents -- even the baggies and aluminum foil! We are child-friendly, with pool toys, a crib, and children s books and toys. We are located in the Country Homes section of Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort in Haines City, Florida, on a quiet cul-de-sac, 25 minutes from Disney and 45 from the Orlando airport. The airport drive is quick and easy, and we can also recommend a car service that charges only $45 to or from the Orlando airport. AMENITIES This is a split-level home with double garage (with remote openers). The entry way has a half bath, and leads down to the bedrooms, and up to the living area. Living room: double height, with two large sofas, two large chairs, including a soft leather chair with ottoman; large TV with DVD/VCR combination with remote controls; Bose Wave Radio/CD with remote control, snack tables. Dining room. Large light wood table with six chairs and large hutch. The entire wall between living/dining rooms and upper level porch is a 30-foot window wall of sliding doors; the enclosed porch has sliding windows. Kitchen: recently completely remodeled, with new lighting, cabinets, countertops, hardwood floors, appliances (all GE, with double convection oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, disposal, smooth-top range), and every conceivable item of cookware: pots and pans, utensils, flatware, appliances. There is a large breakfast counter/pass-through to the dining room. There is very ample, attractive glassware and dinnerware. Loft/bedroom/office: TV with VCR, desk, computer, chairs. Can be used as a third bedroom, with Brookstone Queen-sized air bed (with linens); immediately below is the half bath off the entry. Master bedroom: King-size bed with all linens, desk, dresser, walk-in closet, and a TV with remote control; bath has tub/shower, dressing area, linen closet, and walk-in closet. Sliders open to ground-level screen porch and hot tub. Guest bedroom and bath: two Queen-size beds with all linens; bath has tub/shower, dresser, walk-in closet. Sliders open to ground-level screen porch and hot tub. Computer (PC) in loft has broadband high speed (cable) Internet access; Pentium 4, CD Rom drive, LCD monitor, and USB ports, with a Canon ink jet color printer. Wireless Internet is available throughout the house, and there is a wireless notebook card, in case you need one for your laptop. Many programs are installed, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Internet Explorer. Phones. There is a phone line in the kitchen with wireless handset, and an extension in the master bedroom. Lower level screen porch: ground level, with outdoor sofa and chairs, carpeting, and hot tub. Garage: Double sized, with new electric EZ-Go golf cart for your use (with easy-to-use charger), small workshop, nearly new washer/dryer and laundry tub. ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS Minutes away: 3 golf courses, large free-form community pool and spa, tennis, dining. A short drive away (10-20 minutes): fine grocery shopping, Wal-Mart, Blockbuster, Eckerd s, Eagle River Shopping Mall, Home Depot, Boating on Lake Marion. A little further (25-50 minutes): Cypress Gardens, Bok Tower and Gardens, Disney, Universal. Other attractions: Cape Canaveral (75 minutes), Gulf Coast/Tampa (90 minutes) RENTAL RATES High Season Rates (January through April): Week: $800; Month: $2,200 Low Season Rates (May through November): Week: $700; Month: $2,000.
